More and more, food safety is in the news. As government regulations continue to draw attention at national and local levels, teachers and schools should address food safety in their classes. These packages have been designed to make the educator's job easy and target two specific age groups: Kindergarten to grade three, and grade four to grade seven.
The following guides are for use by teachers, group leaders, day care workers, nutritionists, public health inspectors, nurses, etc. It is possible to teach the entire program in one session. However, we recommend that the information be presented over a series of sessions to reinforce the messages.
